Choosing Healthy or Pill-Popping.
Chery’s Inspiration for Change: Choosing a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Over Prescription Drug Pill-Popping “I want people to stop relying on prescription drugs and start making healthy changes by eating clean and exercising- and believing there is life beyond the prescription bottle. I don’t want to be 50 years old and have 50 bottles of pills, so I stopped.”
Chery is driven to change by her desire to be more physically fit so she can enjoy her family and live life to the fullest. “I have to change my bad habits so I can enjoy retirement, play with my grandson, travel and hike the Grand Canyon and Yosemite.
I would like to show others it can be done. It’s hard, yes, but I would rather swim to keep weight off and blood pressure down than take a pill or a bunch of pills that eventually give you another problem which requires another pill!
I want to live clean and share my journey with those facing their own challenges and help them choose a better way of being healthy.” Chery strives to inspire others to start their own journey to change by candidly sharing the ups and downs of her experiences with sensitivity and a sense of humor that says “If I can do this, so can you!”
Chery’s hope for change speaks to a future where healthcare is open-minded, help is available to everyone who needs it, and where treating ailments is not confined to a prescription pad. Her plea to anyone experiencing health problems: “Educate yourself so you won’t have to go through all that I did.”
